Project Description:
In this project we had to do a couple of things. First we had to create an idea for the type of game we wanted to make for benchmark #1. For Benchmark #2 we had to finalize the game plan that we had. For the next Benchmark, #5 We had to make the game and get it ready to be presented at exhibition. Next came benchmark #4 which was to find out the probability analysis.
Overview:
The process of this project I felt was very elongated but also very short for some of the benchmarks. In doing this project we had to start off with benchmark #1 with this benchmark we had to give a rough outline on our game. This was important to help us get a more solid idea. With benchmark #2 we had to give a step by step outline of our game with code and everything. This was important so that we could get a better idea if we wanted to create the game that we did. Next was benchmark #5 which was getting our game completed and ready for exhibition. I thought that this was hard because I chose to use a game creating engine. I chose to use this because I felt like it would be easier than using a online game engine that was more confusing than easy to me. This benchmark was important because this is what the whole project was really on. Next was benchmark #4 which was to show what the probability was to do certain thing in the game. For instance mine was what is the probability that you will pass my game on the first try though all 5 levels.
How to play my game:
To play my game you can either use the wasd keys or the arrow keys. You have to go from the choosing wall of colors to the guessing wall adjacent to it. The levels get progressively harder so on the first level you have 1 color and 1 guessing block. On the second level you have 2 colors to choose from and 2 guessing blocks. It continues to get harder and harder in that way as you go through the 5 levels. In making my game I had to use the habit of a mathematician to stay organized. I had to do that because in making code you have to stay organized or you will get very confused very quick.
Reflection:
I felt like this was a very good project and it was very fun to do. I think that it was a very good project and should be done more and more over the years. I also feel that we should have gotten more time to make our games. I feel that way because I could have gotten more done and made my game better than it is now. Overall it is a very good project and was executed in a good way. I feel that I got a lot done with the time that I had to get my game done. Some success that I had where getting the game done in the way that I wanted to. Also That it came out easy to control. A challenge that I had was to get all of my code working and game in an easy to understand way.
